With the support of Lara Barut Hotel, we monitor Lara, who was found injured in Göynük, Antalya and regained her health after approximately 1.5 years of treatment, with a satellite tracking device. Lara means Water Fairy in Turkish, and Sand in the Hittite Civilization. For more information click here.
Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan expressed his wishes for the turtle to be released with the name "Lara Baris(Peace)" and to roam freely in the seas as the representative of peace in the world, since July 20 July is the anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
